Work

So I guess I should get down to some business. As I said in 'Pilot', when I finish education I want to write, direct and act in films.
I'm writing a book at the moment called 'Dead House', which I want to eventually make into a film. It's a supernatural horror. Basically a group of people go to this place called Withersight Manor on a photography assignment and it all goes wrong because the guy who owned the house went crazy and made a deal with a demon called Dantalian. I don't know whether that's gonna be the final name but it's what he's called at the moment.

This is a character known only as 'Legless'. She's one of the numerous 'bad guys', and I basically already had drawn her loads of times in various ways before I even considered putting her in the story. She's the cause of one of the most tense bits.

So anyway, that's what I'm working on right now. I have a first draft completed, I'm now working on a second draft because I changed a huge part of it.
I have a load of versions with various openings and different reasons for them being at the house and all that, but when I speak of drafts, I mean for the final cut as it were as far as plot and characters are concerned.

I'm writing the script as well but I wanna get the story finished ASAP because it'll help me plan camera angles if I can look at it in story form as I go. So yeah, I'll keep updating so if you're interested, keep checking in.

The original characters were specifically written for certain people but as far as the film is concerned, I have some ideas of who I want cast. I want to play Danny. It's not a vanity thing. The whole reason I started working on this in 2005/06, which was originally entitled Twisted Toys, was because I was on a forum and one of the threads was 'If you were in a movie, what would it be about and who would be in it with you?'.
So originally, I wrote it so that it was me, my sis Kim, my best friend Hope, Slipknot and Wednesday 13. In fact, at the very, very beginning, I even had Marilyn Manson and some others, but then I cut it down to thirteen and now I have it at ten.

Now, the only ones I know that I want cast is my friend Hope who's character is called Hope. Like I said, I want to play Danny. And if I could I wanna get Corey Taylor to play Cody (who's the character I wrote for him) and Wednesday 13 to play Joe (again, the character I wrote for him).
As for the other's, I really want Jensen Ackles to play CJ and the guy who played Otis in Devil's Rejects to play Sean. That's all I know as far as cast.

I know it's a pretty unrealistic plan since I doubt I'd ever get any of them in my movie, but hey, there's no harm in dreamin XD.

Pilot

The fist episode of a TV show is always called 'Pilot', so that's why this post is called that.

Some of the blogger community may know me from my ranty blog 'Deranged Dreamers'. I still have that blog and I'll still write on it when I'm having a bad moment, because it helps. But this blog, I want somewhere for my good side. I'm like a coin. Deranged Dreamers is one tails and this blog will be heads.

I'm trying to get over the things that caused my to be the way I was when I started DD, so...new life, new blog.

In this post I'm gonna do the whole introductory bit because I didn't really do one for DD, I think I went straight to the ranting and raving lol.

So, my name is Rhiannon Holbrook and I live in the county of Wiltshire, in the UK. I'm a paranoid cow so I'm not saying anymore than that about my whereabouts.

Um, I'm really into the supernatural, paranormal and myths & legends. When I finish my education I want to write, direct and act in films. As far as my favourite films are concerned, it's a very, very, VERY long list.

I like horror, action and childrens the most I think, but I really will watch most things. I'm not really all that into comedy, purely for the fact that most of the comedy films don't have my kind of sense of humour.
I love most of Tim Burton's films, I love most Disney's, my favourite actors include Jensen Ackles, Jared Padelecki, Johnny Depp, Jet Li, Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Oded Fehr, Vin Deisel and Sam Elliot, actresses include Clea Duvall, Angelina Jolie, Helena Bonham Carter, Kate Beckinsale and MIlla Jovovich.

My favourite TV shows are Supernatural (Jensen Ackles aka Dean Winchester, is absolutely brilliant!), NCIS (Pauley Perret aka Abbey is also in The Ring, one of my favourite horror movies), CSI, Cold Case, Bones, House, Lie To Me, Charmed etc.

My favourite books include the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy, Angel by Cliff McNish, The Belgariad by David Eddings, All American Girl by Meg Cabbot, Mort by Terry Pratchett, Fox in Socks by Dr Suess, Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Wasted by Marya Hornbacher etc.

Um, I'm trying to think of what else to say to give you an idea of who I am. I'm very aware of my own identity. I wear whatever I feel like wearing. I did go through the whole goth phase when I was at school but now I tend to dress for practicality and comfort than any outward message. Most of the time I'm dressed in jeans and a tshirt. I like wearing shirts over tshirts.
I don't wear bright colours purely for the fact that I don't feel I pull them off. I harly ever wear dresses or skirts, in fac I only own one dress and two skirts and they're for special occasions.
If I could have any car in the world I would either have a camero like Bumblebee or a '67 Impala like Dean drives in Supernatural cos that is a lush car!

As far as education goes, I went to school normally until half way through year eight when I dropped out for a year because I hated school. I was bullied for being a weirdo. I went back to do my gcse's but my mum pulled me out after I took an overdose. No I'm not suicidal anymore. I've tried to kill myself twice but as far as I'm concerned that's in the past. There are times when my demons come back to kick me in the arse but I'm dealing with them.
I started college as a pre-16 and got my maths and english GCSE (A in English, C in Maths). I went back the next year but dropped out to join the army, which I didn't complete because my medical history compromised my eligability. I went back last september to complete more GCSE's but dropped everything but Photography. I'm still waiting for my results as far as that's concerned. I'm going back in September to complete three other GCSE's. Hopefully this time I'll stick it out.

Um what else.

My favourite animal is an elephant and I'm very against animal cruelty. I do eat meat but not very often, I was a vegetarian for three years but I don't like enough vegetables to have a wide enough diet to get away with not eating meat. Besides, as horrible as it is to the cows, I absolutely love cheesburgers! Lol.
I'm terrified of spiders but I love rats, in fact I have two pet rats. I had three but Silk had to be put down.
Um, if I could I would have a german shephard and call him Jethro. We have three cats at the moment, Smoky, Radar and Willow.
I've grown up around animals so I suspect I will always have them around.

I'm very oppinionated. I sometimes stick my foot in it but so do most people. I can be a bitch at times but again, so can most people.

As far as religious views goes...I consider myself an Ecclectic. This means that I pick and mix from world religions, whatever I beleive gets thrown into the mix.

Political views, I tend to be liberal but I think all politicians are bunch of lying greedy bastards.

Music includes Slipknot, Stone Sour, Murderdolls, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nugent, ACDC, Motorhead, Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple, Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Emilie Autumn, Alice Cooper, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, David Bowie, Infected Mushroom, Voltaire, Korn, etcetcetc.

I'm a bit of a caffiene addict I guess, I do occasionally smoke when I'm pissed off and I do occasionally drink, my favourite drinks as far as alchohol's concerned are captain morgans rum and coke, vodka and coke or jack daniels and coke.

I honestly don't know what else to say, but hopefully that gives you an outline. If you read my blog, no doubt it'll build up a more complete picture of who I am.

So yeah, that's it, I'll post back later.
